Papa Jim will take her to the Cubs game at 3pm. We will text her at the game & say: "Hey! Come to Cody's, Were all here!". If the game ends early PJ will stall her by stopping in a store or 2, or stopping home. If the game goes extras, we wait & drink & eat til she arrives.
Additional Sneakiness!
Michelle actual birthday is not the night of the party, its a week later so if you get an invite for any other parties for her, like a facebook invite or dinner evite for 8/28, just answer however you want. That will be a FAKE!
Getting there
Cody's is at 1658 W Barry Ave. There isn't a parking lot but the neighborhood streets do not require parking permits. There are parking meters on Belmont to the north but you only have to feed the meter's until 9pm. Do not park in front of the bar if Michelle will recognize your car! Try to park a block away.
Public transit
- You can take the Brown Line towards Kimball & get off at Paulina. Walk 8 minutes south on Paulina to Barry. Cody's on the corner.
- You can take the Red line towards Howard & get off at Belmont & transfer to the brown line. Follow the instructions in the previous sentence.
Of course with google maps, you can do it yourself. I have faith in you.

Places to Stay
Unfortunately, we arent able to house everyone from outta town (unless you wanna stay in our unfinished storage basement) so you might need accomodations.
There arent any hotels near the bar & not too much on the north side. Be wary of hotels on the north side. Some are transient hotels & pretty crappy.
If you get a hotel you can use Trip Advisor or any other of those sites, but give me a email if you find something & want to be sure.
Downtown could be your best bet, South Loop there are the Congress Hotel and the Travelodge are pretty reasonable & you can walk to the Harrison Red line stop a few blocks away.
Michelle used to stay at a place called Heart O' Chicago when she did baseball excursions with PJ. Its a bit far north, not luxury by any stretch but its cheap & you can Red Line it there. Papa Jim stayed there. If it's good enough for PJ...

SUNDAY FUNDAY
If you want to continue the fun, we are going to the Cubs game on Sunday. They Braves are in town & the game is at 1:20. If you wish to attend, please send me an email by the RSVP date & I'll get you a ticket from my season ticket rep. We will be sitting in the Bleachers & tickets are $45.
If you miss out, not to worry. You can get a ticket from Cubs.com or Stubhub. Just make sure you get the Budweiser Bleachers. You might pay a bit extra this way. You can also show up at the park if there are day of game tickets left.
As a matter of fact, the Cubs are, well, pretty darn good this year & a sell out could be a possibility so get with it!
